Quick Search

Quick Search is the upper section in the sidebar. This is the fastest way to search or filter for real estate or addresses.

You can both search for single data or for several criteria. More fields you complete, more detailed will your search result be.

If you are searching for criteria not contained in quick search, you can simply change to detailed search by clicking on ‘Show Detailed Search’ button.

Search criteria that shall be displayed in Quick Search are freely configurable via administration .

Please define first if you are searching for real estate or addresses by clicking the corresponding icon.

Quick Search Real Estate

If you want to search for real estate, click the real estate icon in Quick Search. Using this quick search you can search a real estate e.g. for property number, street, town, country or owner.

Using the selection field “Filter” you can directly select your saved filter, the result will be displayed in list view. The “Filter” button is intended for creation of a Quick Filter .

Quick Search Addresses

If you want to search for one or more addresses, click the address icon in Quick Search. Thus you have the possibility to search your address data e.g. for client number, name, street, town, email address, etc.
While searching, the name field can be used for first, last and company name.

Using the selection field “Filter” you can directly select your saved filter, the result will be displayed in list view. The “Filter” button is intended for creation of a Quick Filter .

Quick Search Addresses

Here you can search your emails. Please select the folder to be searched and enter your corresponding criteria.

The search result for emails is not displayed in a new window, but as list above the preview window.

Quick Search Addresses

Here you can search for ticket number, task description or task subject. Additionally, there is the possibility to search for project, status, from which user the task is, or to which user the task is assigned.

If the information only applies to one dataset, it is directly opened.

If the are more than one possible matches, a list with search results will be displayed in an own window.

Quick Search Addresses

Previous search terms are displayed above the list next to the info icon .

The search result is displayed in two lines. First the highlighted addresses with direct matches are displayed, then those with partial matches.
Direct matches are those, where the searched term is included as indicated. When searching for example for an address with ‘Otto’ in name field, an address with first name ‘Otto’ is a direct match, an address dataset with first name ‘Ottokar’ a partial match.

Within the section the results are then ordered by the desired criteria.

The search result is almost a list view as for the modules themselves. There are the same configuration possibilities as in the modules (Real Estate , Addresses and Tasks ). Besides table, tile and presentation view you can define the number of entries per page, scroll, search, and you have the functions from the corresponding action bar.

The columns to be displayed can also be adjusted in administration .

If you want to print the search result, please use the “Print” entry in action bar.

The search result for emails differs from the others and is explained there.

Create Quick Filter

Using Quick Search you can also quickly and easily create filters for addresses and real estate. Enter the desired criteria and click on “Filter”. A filter is created and the result list is displayed.
Using filter dialogue in the tool bar you can select “Edit Filter” and adjust the filter, or you can directly save it under its own name for future use. You can find more on filter here for addresses or here for real estate .

Quick Search Settings

All options at a glance:

  • Respect filters: If the check is placed, all active filters or task list will be respected for search using Quick Search.
  • Include inactive: If the check is placed, not only active, but also archived datasets will be included in search.
  • Search results in new window: If the check is placed, search results will be opened in a new window. Current view will be maintained.
  • Keep results window open after clicking: If the check is placed, the result list window will stay open, even if you have selected the searched dataset from the result list and opened it with a double-click. If the check is not placed, the result list window will be closed as soon as you have opened the searched dataset with a double-click.
  • Respect view:If you activate this option, the Quick Search view will automatically also change. When opening address management, the Quick Search selection will also change to “addresses”. Default setting remains independent from the module.
  • Automatic place holder: If the check is placed, a partial entry already leads to results. For example, in town field you can enter “uttgar” and the results list will display results that contain the searched fragment (Stuttgart). If the check is not placed, an exact entry is required.
  • Automatically close sidebar after search: When the the check is placed the sidebar will automatically collapse after search.
